YES YOU CAN MAKE: GINGER LEMON TEA


Now I can't really say that it has been a cold winter here in San Francisco. Actually has been around 70 this week so I really can't say that. But given that it is winter for most of you folks out there, I thought that I would share my recipe for lemon ginger tea.

I have made it a variety of ways but the basic ingredients are the same. This drink is perfect for a cold day or when you feel a little sickness coming on or when you have a stomach ache. I am a huge fan of ginger so I like mine to be extra spicy.

You can either boil the ingredients on the stove or put them in a french press. Both methods turn out great, the french press is good for a single serve while the stove is good if you are making a large batch. For 1-2 servings slice 1/2 lemon, peel a few pieces of ginger and cut up in 1/2 inch slices (you can also grate ginger if you want it extra spicy), add a tablespoon of honey and a cinnamon stick. Pour boiling water into the french press and let steep 2-4 minutes. Pour and enjoy.
