I want to share something with you about what is going on past this computer screen. Because I want you to know that despite the instagrams of brunches and posts about the latest manicure trends, I deal with real stuff too. Real stuff doesn't make wonderful posts (a post about piles of laundry, no thanks) but sometimes I want to share what is going on in my life and maybe you can relate a little bit.
So here it goes…this week I was laid off at work. I was one of 800 people who lost their jobs on Wednesday. The part that I struggled with the most is that, as a planner, this wasn't part of the plan. I was at work on Wednesday and no longer going into the office Monday.
It's really strange how life works out. Just when you think you have got it down, it surprises you. And that is maybe the best part of it--life never lets you get too comfortable. It's something that I am trying to take in stride and with as much grace as I can. I'm excited about this new chapter in my life and the opportunity to find a new job that I am passionate about and that pushes me creatively.
This does mean more time for blog posts and meeting up with local bloggers for lunches and brunches. Which is exciting. So I'm hoping to have some sort of out of the ordinary posts for you soon (in between searching for jobs of course).
I also wanted to say thank you for your support and encouragement. I appreciate each and every person that reads this blog.
