How is it already Thursday?! I always find that four day weeks fly by a little faster. With the start of New York Fashion week this week, I'm feeling very fashion-inspired.
As each season rolls around, I get excited to switch up my outfits a little bit. Although the temperatures in San Francisco stay the same nearly year-round, adding a little scarf or jacket becomes necessary in the fall. I like to balance my shopping list to things that are worth investing in and saving on more trendy things that just add a little fun. Here is my splurge and save fall wish list.
This should come as no surprise, but spend money on quality products that can be styled in a multitude of ways. You really can't go wrong with a classic leather jacket (that only looks real but is actually faux) a baby alpaca cape, a beautifully crafted watch, boots that were definitely made for walking and a denim dress that works from now all the way until the holidays. While these all may be investments everything is priced within reason. So, trade a few lattes and dinners out and in no time you will be able to buy these little luxuries.
Save (Under $100)
Save on accessories and items that you can add to jazz up an outfit. Lipstick and a mani are one of most impactful and inexpensive ways to dress up an outfit. I always keep at least three shades of lipstick in my purse to dress up after work before dinner or an event. I also am a big believer in trying before you buy. So before you invest in that expensive designer purse, try out a less expensive version and that might just fill the void (and save you money) or help you decide to buy the designer. I included tees in here because they are the most versatile (and affordable) pieces in my closet. A striped tee can make an outfit. Lastly, one can never have enough jewels. So, stock up at affordable prices and turn those plain tees into dressed up ensembles with the snap of a clasp.
