So here is the deal. I don't like being in front of the camera. Like not at all. The minute that lens points in my direction I get all weird and awkward.
But lately, due to my really wonderful new job, I have had the opportunity to try all sorts of make up. I have been experimenting with the craziest glitter shadows, liquid blush, eye primers...all sorts of fun stuff. And I have been dying to share with you guys some tips and tricks that I have picked up along the way. But my holdup was the fact that I am not, by any measure of the word, a "beauty blogger." I just starting wearing foundation a few months ago. But I think that's a good thing because what I share with you will maybe be more relatable and fit your everyday life.
So anyways, I bring you the first installation of Real Girl Make Up: The Easy Smokey Eye. I have been using this trick for months now because it literally is 3 steps with one product and it is refreshingly simple. It also lasts for hours because the stick eye shadow is typically more concentrated. You can use either an eyeshadow stick or a pencil liner. One of my favorites is the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick I am using here (in Plum). You will also need a smudge brush.
