In San Francisco, there is a abundance of prohibition era bars. They serve retro (like really 1880s retro) cocktails and the bartenders wear suspenders and twisted mustaches. I will admit that I'm a sucker for a cozy velvet chair and a well-crafted cocktail so I frequent these places and am not complaining about their recent popularity. A few to try, if you ever visit SF, are Devil's Acre, Comstock, 15 Romolo and Burbon & Branch.
I've noticed that nearly all of their cocktails are served in elegant champagne coupes. Ten years ago, during the peak of Sex and the City, everything was served in a martini glass. With the popularity of champagne coupes, they've rolled back the clocks even further to the Gatsby era. You can actually find this style of glass relatively easy at your local flea market, Anthropologie or Etsy. I've pulled a few finds from Etsy below. Which of these is your favorite?
