Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

SCENES FROM THE WEEKEND

Some weekends are jam packed with a million things and some are just a little slower. I feel like Goldilocks because I either feel overwhelmed by how much is going on or restless if I don't have enough to do. Anyone else relate to that feeling?

This weekend I did a lot of cleaning, laundry, a little bit of baking (love you lemon curd) and a lot of nothing. I fell asleep on the couch mid-Sunday watching a Ken Burns documentary on the Prohibition. Despite falling asleep during it, it is actually worth a watch and I recommend it.

I wanted to share a few of my favorite things from the weekend including these amazing home scents (and one lotion) that Antica Farmacista sent me from their spring collection. I love all things fig and their new Green Fig scent is amaze. It is a slightly fresher version of their other fig scent that I loved. The diffuser is perfect for giving my main room a yummy but not overpowering scent and the candle was burning all weekend long (is there anything better than rain and a candle burning?) I couldn't help by lounge on the floor with the candle while catching up on magazines.

I also did a little outfit planning because I felt like my ensembles are feeling a little stale. I like to think of new combinations on the weekend, when I have more time to dedicate to trying on outfits. During the week I am just much too hectic in the morning to dream about being creative with what I put on. This lovely jacket-thing is from Old Navy of all places (and it's $24 right now). You never know what you will find there.

Lastly, I took off my Static nails that I have been sporting for the last week. And I'm sad to report, they did not come off easily and my nails were a little damaged. After some TLC at the nail salon, I wanted to restore the moisture that all of the harsh chemicals had taken away. This Damascus Rose, Orris and Oud body butter is so creamy and amazing. I didn't think that I would love the smell but the combination of rose and musk is a perfect duo before going to sleep. I have been putting it on my hands every night. The scent is perfect for winding down.

So that is what I was up to this weekend. How about you lovelies?
