LONG WEEKEND RECAP
Hope everyone had a great long weekend! As I mentioned, summers in San Francisco can be a real bummer. Seasonal depression is a real thing, usually reserved for January and February but in SF it really hits in August. I like to try to get out of the city as much as possible during those impossibly cold summer months.
Napa is just the ticket to cheer me up because its a good 20-30 degrees warmer and just a short hour drive from the city. I hadn't been up to Napa in two months (the horror!!) so a trip was long overdue. It was the perfect day trip for a weekend that was, for the most part, a #staycation.
We did a few of my Napa favorites including brunch at Boon Fly Cafe (get the eggs Benedict) and sparkling wine tasting at Domaine Chandon. We even tried something new. We visited Silver Trident winery which is decorated with Ralph Lauren Home (the fancy kind, not the kind they sell at Macys) The wine was surprisingly delicious, after all we were there mostly for the decor. I even picked up a bottle of their rose to take home. Perfect for SF summer picnics to come...
