READY IN A FLASH
I love hosting events. I think I got it from my mother who always had the perfect set-up when guests came over. I have continued to host events, even though a studio isn't ideal for a large group gathering. It's just fun to enjoy laughing and telling stories with friends in a comfortable setting.
As you know, I have become the master of the cheese plate. So much so, I could probably pull one together eyes closed (that would be a fun game) This time was no exception. I served three types of goat cheese. After traveling to the Bohemian Creamery goat farm a few weekends ago, I have been eating a lot of goat cheese. I served one of their Bohemian Creamery cheeses plus Montchevre Blueberry Vanilla goat cheese and my absolute favorite Humboldt Fog. I served the cheese plate with champagne served in these cute little coupes that I got for Christmas. It felt so grown-up and chic!
As I prepped for my guests, I pulled on my cozy Birdies slippers. They are the perfect shoes for getting ready, and for keeping on when the guests arrive. It is like having a lovely little secret--you are in your cozy, shearling slippers that look like legitimate shoes, as you are running around. I can't stop wearing these SF-designed slippers around the house. I'm even tempted to wear them outside the house. They have lots of cute designs that I had a hard time choosing just one pair but I love the touches of leopard in this pair. They would also make a perfect gift for mother's day or a girlfriend's birthday.
On to the pretty pictures of cheese!
