WELCOME TO 2018: A FEW UPDATES + MY FAVORITE THINGS FOR MAKING YOU FEEL LIKE YOU HAVE YOUR SH*T TOGETHER
If you follow along on Instagram you will know that I spent the holiday in Hawaii with my family. One of my favorite things about travel is that it gives you the opportunity to look back and evaluate the year. One of the things that I am most excited about in 2018 is bringing life back to the blog. Over the past 6 months (you could probably even say 9 months) my posting schedule has been somewhat all over the place. There were a variety of factors that contributed to this which range from lots of work travel to the desire to spend more time in the "real world" with friends. But this year I am reinvigorated to create amazing content for you guys and I hope you will tune in and read along as I share this new content. I am planning on going back to posting three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so make sure to check back on those days. A few things I want to cover in 2018:
- Healthy eating - I guess you could call it a transformation but over the last 6+ months I have been adjusting what I eat to be more nutritious and give me the energy I need. Expect a lot more healthy and easy (but just as tasty) recipes on here.
- Travel (near and far) - I know a lot of my readers and followers on Instagram are from the Bay Area. I want to provide more local finds and travel guides in addition to the bigger international ones. I already have some exciting trips planned so far to Yountville and Portland!
- Wellness - I know this is such a buzzy word right now but with my healthy eating journey I have also been looking at taking care of myself with essential oils, yoga, walking you name it. I am just one or two crystals away from being a full on hippie. Jokes aside, I think it is an important conversation of how we are taking care of ourself in a very stress-filled world.
As always reach out with any comments or things you would like to see. First up this month is a list of things that will make you feel like you have your sh*t together. All of us can relate to that great feeling of writing in the first page of a journal or slipping on new workout pants. While the pants wont do the workout for you (look for those pants in 2040), these things below can help give you that little push in the right direction in 2018. For me personally, this year has been a bit of a slow start since I was on vacation for the first week of the month. But now I'm getting into things and I'm going to need all of the palo santo available.
